As you may know, the smaller paperback format of each of my novels follows a year after the first release of the original larger edition. As we prepared for the paperback release of Echoes of War in September, my publishers wondered whether the original title told readers enough about the setting and story. They asked what my readers loved about my books and the overwhelming feedback was that you all love a consistent series style.

With this in mind, my publishers decided to give the cover a refresh and publish the second format under the brand new title, Daughter of Calabria – a title that centres around the heroine and setting, just like my previous novels.

Although I love the original cover with its Mediterranean feel, this new cover resonates so beautifully with the new title Daughter of Calabria. This is a title close to my heart as it pays homage to my Calabrian grandmother who my gorgeous Giulia is inspired by. As you can see, our lovely Giulia still remains front and centre of the new cover, but now in a field of gold, just as I’ve pictured her roaming the fields looking for herbs as a folk healer. How lucky am I that I get a second title and a beautiful new cover!!
